Album Review: Run The Jewels 3

Run The Jewels (Killer Mike and El-P) gave everyone a Christmas miracle and released their third album, Run the Jewels 3.

Upon my first listen, I was a bit disappointed. I had been looking forward to the album since it was announced early late September/early October. I felt like it just didn't have the great tracks the previous two albums had. Three weeks later and it is one of my favorite albums of all time, ahead of the previous two by a slim margin.

The more I listen, the more I enjoy it. The only real low point of the album, for me, is the Danny Brown part on the track, Hey Kids. Other than that 60ish second portion, the album is flawless. Personal favorite track would have to be Legend Has It.

Bottom line: Is it good? YES! If you are a fan of Hip Hop, you should definitely be listening to this and if you didn't know who Run The Jewels was before this, fix your life and listen to the other two albums while you are at it!
